A seminar was organised on Wednesday, 11 Sep 2024 at 3 p.m. at Swami Saradananda Seminar Hall on the topic: ‘From Theory to Experiment in Quantum Computing’. The speaker was Dr. Ritajit Majumdar, Research Scientist, IBM Quantum, IBM India Research Lab.

It was an introductory seminar on Quantum computing where the speaker gave a brief outline of the fundamental concepts of Quantum Computing along with potential applications that may revolutionize the way computing is done. He also briefly touched upon the hardware details.

At the end, he also shared a list of resources from where a novice can begin his journey into the world of quantum computing.

There were about 80 people in audience including 10 faculty members from different departments. There were about 60 boys and 10 girls from the student community.
